The terminal complex measures 130 acres (52.6 hectares), or 5.8 million square feet.
The complex includes the Terminal building and Concourses T, A, B, C, D and E –
the international concourse. Within these concourses, there are a total of 182 gates
comprised of 154 domestic and 28 international gates. The Airport is free of any
architectural barriers to people with disabilities.
The Airport's underground, Automated People Mover connects all concourses with the
terminal and consists of nine, four-car trains operating on a 3.5 mile loop track.
Trains operate approximately every two minutes. On average, the trains carry over
200,000 passengers per day.
There are three main air cargo complexes, North, Midfield and South, a Perishables
Complex and an Equine Complex. The total on-airport air cargo warehouse space measures
two million square feet. There are 28 parking positions for cargo aircraft, 19 at
the north complex and 9 at the south complex.

There are more than 30,000 public parking spaces at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International
Airport, including 13,500 in covered parking decks, 7,500 in North and South Economy
parking lots, 1,300 in the Park-Ride Reserve lot and 8,100 in the Airport's Park-Ride
lots. Special parking spaces are also provided for disabled passengers in each lot.
- Approximately 30 shuttle services offer door-to-door and on-demand pickup service
from the Airport to the Atlanta metropolitan area and bordering states.
- Shuttle vans carry seven to 14 passengers and depart every 15 minutes within the
metropolitan area, and every 30 minutes for all other areas.
- Hartsfield-Jackson’s taxi loading zone is located within the Ground Transportation
Center just west of Terminal North and South baggage claim areas.
- There are 11 rental car agencies with free shuttle service to and from the Airport.
- The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is located on the west
end of the Terminal between Terminal North and South baggage claim areas.
- The Airport Information and Ground Transportation Center offers the convenience
of arranging your transportation to the downtown Atlanta, Midtown and Buckhead areas
through the Atlanta Link's shuttle counter. In addition, you may arrange your limo
and sedan transportation needs by requesting the service through Hartsfield-Jackson's
Host Volunteer or Customer Service Representative located next to the Atlanta Link.
- Transportation to and from the Airport for the physically challenged can be arranged
through Our Family Transportation.
There are 264 concession outlets throughout the Airport, including 114 food and
beverage locations, 91 retail and convenience outlets, three duty-free stores and
56 service outlets. They include a banking center, U.S. Postal service, Georgia
Lottery, shoe shine, ATM, vending and spas. Concessions space at Hartsfield-Jackson
Atlanta International Airport covers approximately 230,000 square feet. The state-of-the-art
rental car center features Advantage, Airport, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise,
E-Z, Hertz, iTravel, National, Thrifty and Payless Rent a Car companies.
The 24,000-square-foot, Executive Conference Center at Hartsfield Jackson is located
in the Airport Atrium for the convenience of business travelers. The facility houses
23 meeting rooms, video conference capabilities, computer workstations and catering
in an aesthetically pleasing environment.
Hartsfield-Jackson is the largest employer in the state of Georgia. There are approximately
56,000 airline, ground transportation, concessionaire, security, federal government,
City of Atlanta and Airport tenant employees.
Hartsfield-Jackson has a direct economic impact of about $23.5 billion for local
and regional economy.
